Entry Level Dispatcher
The Entry-Level Dispatcher position with the City of Kent, Ohio, involves receiving and dispatching emergency and non-emergency calls, coordinating with law enforcement and emergency services, and maintaining accurate records. Lateral Dispatcher
What is a lateral dispatcher? Someone who is already working or has recently worked as a dispatcher for police or fire at another agency. How does the lateral process work? Contact Lt. Mike Lewis at michael.lewis@kentohio.gov. You will be asked to submit the application, resume and cover letter. The process will continue from there. The application window for laterals is always open.
Prior Experience: Applicants must have full-time experience as a law enforcement dispatcher to qualify for lateral transfer.
